Associate Strategist, Paid Search/SEM

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an Associate SEM Strategist to join our Revenue department at our rapidly growing Center City, Philadelphia office. 

As an Associate SEM Strategist, you will be exposed to all facets of the business and encouraged to learn and develop skills both within and beyond your role. You will be responsible for campaign launch, management, and, over time, some client/internal communications of assigned accounts to achieve client goals (mainly ROAS and revenue driven).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 0-12 months experience in search engine marketing/pay-per-click based advertising, digital marketing, analytics, or e-commerce
  • High level understanding of paid search, Google/Bing shopping
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, vlookups)
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a strong desire to both learn and experiment in a rapidly-changing industry
  • Strong sense of urgency and solid communication skills

WHO YOU ARE:

This is a entry-level position; the ideal candidate is looking to begin their career in Customer Strategy within the Digital Marketing industry. You are:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Background in e-commerce or product-focused advertising
  • Google AdWords or Google Analytics certification
  • Self starter with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively and be accountable for the delivery of project work on time

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an Associate SEM Strategist on our Channel Solutions team, you will:

  • Campaign structure creation and build, including keyword research from keyword mining to vetting to ensure relevance to site product offering
  • Developing tailored ad copy and assigning landing pages to drive engagement
  • Creating ad extensions (sitelinks, structure snippets, callout extensions, etc.)
  • Manage and optimize campaigns based on data and direction from Strategists and CSMs, including identifying opportunities and assisting in addressing client requests
  • Perform ad hoc analyses for insights to further improve upon goals
  • Complete reports of key metrics for internal review and/or for client discussion, such as executing, monitoring, and providing performance updates for A/B tests
  • Surface product and user experience feedback to internal teams as it relates to Sidecar’s technology and tools
  • Regularly attend trainings on Sidecar’s product, interacting with key product leaders to ensure an understanding of how to work both within and alongside Sidecar’s technology
