Payroll Manager


We are looking for a Payroll Manager to join our rapidly growing Talent team. 

As a Payroll Manager, you will be exposed to all facets of the business and be encouraged to learn and develop skills both within and beyond your role. You’ll be working in one of the most collaborative offices in Center City Philly, surrounded by passionate, high-performing individuals. This role will include owning all aspects of payroll and partnering across the business to ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining best practice and compliance.  

The ideal candidate will play an important role in continuing to scale our fast-paced organization. 



  • 5-7 years experience managing a multi-state payroll
  • Strong knowledge of Federal, State and local tax law with the ability to understand other localities as needed
  • Experience managing 401K
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel



  • Prior system conversion experience
  • Namely HRIS, Payroll & Benefits experience
  • Experience with commission reporting/tools 



  • Responsible for semi monthly disbursement of multi-state payroll, including salaried/hourly employees as well as bonuses and commissions using Namely
  • Review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice, efficiency and compliance
  • Prepare a variety of payroll-related documents (adjustments for over payments, payroll registers, stop payments/direct deposit reversals, W-2 audits and controls, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues; meeting compliance requirements, and providing audit support
  • Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy/procedures prior to processing
  • Responsible for the processing of new hires and terminations with the payroll system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Own commission reporting in partnership with Sales Operations Team
  • Adhoc projects as needed including audit support, tax reporting, compliance, benefits reporting, etc.
